Our Women’s Health in the Point Project is designed to reduce the prevalence of breast & cervical cancer among women residing in the Bayview Hunters Point district of San Francisco.
WHIPP trains interns through monthly BSE Workshops geared toward early detection of cancer.

These 5-hour workshops encourage women to appreciate and engage in:
- Learning the American Cancer Society (ACS) breast cancer detection guidelines
- Early detection practices
- Practicing breast self-examination (BSE) confidently and competently
Workshops are taught over two sessions, usually on Saturdays.
