WHIPP

The Women's Health in the Point Project provides training, education, & referral services to individuals at risk for breast and cervical cancer.

Breathing Counts

An asthma program providing information, education, training and referrals pertinent to asthma management.

The Home Assessment Project

diagnosing the presence of asthma triggers in the home.

School Based Project

A 4 to 6 week asthma management curriculum for children who have been diagnosed with asthma or have asthma-like symptoms .

Resource Center Tours

The Center is stocked with literature, books, Internet access. The children will receive information & education on asthma management. Available with advance notice.

Workshops

Asthma , breast & cervical cancer , and prostate cancer workshops for clients and those interested in volunteering as interns.

Presentations

Presentations are made to community-based organizations, churches on asthma, breast, cervical, and prostate cancer.

The Resource Center is available

for community meetings on health issues .  The Center  holds about twenty people.  Five days' notice is required to use the Resource Center.

Community Involvement

HERC incorporates Community First involvement. The programs are designed to educate residents about the environmental conditions influencing their health.
