HERC: Our Vision
HERC incorporates the Community First objective of community involvement.
HERC utilizes the African-American Health Initiative's innovative, approach to motivativating individuals to take a more active role in improving their health, the health of their families & neighborhoods.
This will occur through opening community dialogue, taking a stand on issues, & pooling strengths, resources, and energy in order to reach those who may be hesitant to focus on their own health.
Our vision is to empower the residents of Bayview Hunters Point to meet the challenges of healthy living within an urban environment scarred by more than fifty years of industrial pollutants.
