  • The American Cancer Society (ACS) – Linkage with ACS ensures information and education on prostate cancer are within their guidelines and are culturally relevant. HERC will encourage participation of ACS to provide trainers for the prostate workshops.

  • Bayview Hunters Point Health and Environmental Assessment Program (HEAP) – This linkage ensures continued research relevant to environmental issues that may be contributing to the high rate of cancer in African American communities. It also services as a policy development body concerned with environmental issues and community health.
  • Blue Cross of California - Linkage serves as a core to provide financial resources to further the mission of addressing prostate cancer among African American men in the two targeted communities and assist with providing health education to the community at-large through participation in community health fairs and other health events at the community level.

Additionally, Saint Francis Memorial Hospital is committed to participating in various events designed to share information and educate.
  • San Francisco City College – The College provides ongoing in-kind health (Registered Nurse) consultancy in the design and analysis of the proposed prostate project.
