About HERC

HERC is funded by San Francisco Department of Public Health and the San Francisco Office of the Mayor. As well as private grants & donations.

Located at 828 Innes Ave., Unit 110 (415) 401-6810 and 2 Cameron Way 822-2676. hours are 10-4 weekdays. Phones and email addresses are on the contact page.

Our Mission

HERC incorporates the Community First objective of “community involvement” in its program philosophy.

HERC also utilizes the African American Health Initiative’s innovative, Afro-centered approaches to motivate individuals to take a more active role in improving their health, the health of their families and neighborhoods. motivation occurs through opening community dialogue, taking a stand on issues, and pooling strengths, resources, and energy in order to reach those who may be hesitant to focus on their own health.
