Volunteer Opportunities

Asthma 101A Workshops are the first step toward completing the Asthma Internship Program .
The workshop is four hours and generally held on Saturdays.

The workshop prepares participants to teach asthma curriculums in the schools and/or to become better informed on various methods of asthma management. 

By the conclusion of the workshop you will have an increased knowledge and awareness of the following topics:

  • About the Respiratory System
  • What is Asthma
  • Asthma Symptoms and Treatments
  • Nocturnal Asthma
  • Asthma Medications
  • Avoiding Asthma
  • Triggers
  • Peak Flow Monitoring

Completion of the Asthma Internship Program will entail participation in Asthma 101A and coverage of one six-week classroom curriculum.
